Woodpeckers Autumn 1 week 5

Date: 10th Oct 2024 @ 8:13am

This week has flown past and the children have been busy thinking like authors this week. They have created some fabulous sentences about dragons and Vikings, in readiness for creating a narrative over the next couple of weeks. In history, they have been comparing Anglo-Saxon life with Viking life. They found that there were quite a few similarities - suchas the fondness for jewllery and swords. Maths has had us all multiplied this week, as we have been thinking about how to multiply by 10 and 100. In Spanish, we have learnt to count to 10, why not ask us to have a go for you! All in all a quick and packed week. In PSHE the children thought about manners and what that looked like in the classroom, playground and out of school too. They knew lots about what manners are and were quite surprised when they started to think about how manners have changed over time.
