Woodpeckers Autumn 1 week 7
Date: 24th Oct 2024 @ 8:20am
This week we have been busy learning about the end of Anglo-Saxon rule in Britannia. 1066 marked the era of the Normans, with William the Conquerer coming over from France to claim his believed right to the throne of Britannia. Have a look at some of children's work on the subject. We also put together a timeline of the Kings from the start of the Anglo-Saxon era, to the start of the Norman rule. The children had to really concentrate on the dates to get this in the correct order. In music, we concentrated on our compositions, using the pentatonic scale and finished with a rousing chorus of This Little Light of Mine. In RE, we finished our look at Judaism, thinking about what an affirmation is, we then had a go at writing our own affirmation for a school setting.
Thank you for returning the forms for the Xmas for Schools Christmas Artwork. You can now order products from the company, if you would like to do so.
