Woodpeckers Spring 1 week 2

This week the children have been working hard in English, learning about different types of sentences. They have used all the grammar to write an introduction for their river report next week. In maths, we have been all add-ie this week. On Monday we took a look at Roman Numerals. They might be trying to spot Roman Numerals on the TV this week, especially at the end of the news. In PE, we started our unit on basketball. The children practised defending against the attacker in a game. In PSHE, we took out our Magic Paintbrush - inspired by the book of the same name - and thought about money and how we could make a difference to the lives of others. Music got a little bit "Dooty" as we worked on our understanding of song structure and put this into action as we composed. Finally, we ended the week with another PE lesson based around being super heros in dance.
