Woodpeckers Spring 2 week 5

This week has been a bit testy as we have been wroking hard at our tests. We broke the week up on our fabulous school trip to the Museum of Making. The children walked along the River Derwent path, looking at some of the human features added to the river to help reduce flooding. They also took part in a fabulous workshop on mono-printing. They created their very own sketch books and used the items in the Assemblage room as insiration for sketches. Back in the workshop they learnt how to use brayers to roll out special printing paint. Take a look at some of our collages. Back in school, we used all of the information we learnt to create research sheets about the museum as part of our persuasive writing.
